Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

These terms govern your use of the Caporalia app, developed by Noé Romero Alberto, doing business as Handyware Labs, based in Villahermosa, Tabasco, México (“we” or “us”). By downloading or using Caporalia you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to install and use Caporalia on devices you own or control, in accordance with the rules of the store you downloaded it from.

You may not copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the app, nor sell, rent or distribute it, or remove its proprietary notices. Caporalia, its name, logo and content belong to us. The open-source components used by the app keep their own licenses, which you can view on the “About” screen.

3. Your information and backups

• Everything you enter is stored only on your device, and that information is yours.
• You are responsible for making backups and keeping them safe. The app helps with manual and automatic backups, but we have no copy of your data.
• We cannot recover information lost through damage, theft, loss or replacement of a device, uninstalling the app, operating system failures or not having a backup.
• If you enter other people’s information (workers, customers, suppliers), you are responsible for handling it lawfully.

4. Information is for guidance only

Caporalia makes calculations and recommendations based on the data you enter: weight gain, expected calving dates, withdrawal periods, indicators, stocking rate, reminders, reports and more. These are estimates, and their accuracy depends on your data being complete and correct.

The app does not replace the advice of a veterinarian, agronomist, accountant or tax advisor, nor any official records required by the authorities. Always follow the label and instructions of veterinary and agricultural products, especially withdrawal times. Decisions about your livestock, crops and money are yours.

5. Premium

Caporalia can be used for free. Premium unlocks additional features, such as the Ranch area (pastures, storeroom, production, tasks, staff, budgets and accounts), crops, equipment and machinery, all indicators, custom PDF and Excel reports, and extra reminders. The features included may change in new versions.

• Price and period: shown in the store before you buy, and may vary by country.
• Payment: charged to your Google Play or Apple account when you confirm the purchase. We don’t process payments or see your payment details.
• Auto-renewal: the subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, for the same price and length, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• Free trial: if one is offered, it automatically converts into a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. If you buy a subscription during a trial, any unused part of the trial is forfeited.
• How to cancel: on Android, go to Google Play › your profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › Caporalia › Cancel. On iPhone, go to Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Caporalia. Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription. After you cancel, Premium stays active until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds: are governed by the Google Play or Apple policies, since they handle billing. We can’t issue refunds directly, but we’re happy to point you in the right direction.
• If Premium ends: nothing is deleted. Your data stays saved and is included in your backups; Premium features are simply locked until you reactivate it.
• Early-access periods: during testing or launches we may offer Premium free of charge for a limited time. This does not oblige us to keep it free afterwards.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use Caporalia lawfully and to meet the health, tax, labor and any other obligations that apply to you as a producer. Don’t use the app for unlawful purposes or to infringe the rights of others.

7. Changes and availability

We may update Caporalia, add, change or remove features, or stop offering it. The app is provided “as is” and “as available”: we do our best to make it work well, but we don’t guarantee that it is error-free, that it will work without interruption on every device, or that it will meet all your needs.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for financial, production, livestock, crop or data losses, or for indirect damages or decisions made based on information in the app. If we are ever found liable, our total liability will not exceed what you paid for Premium in the 12 months before the event giving rise to it.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

9. Google Play and the App Store

Purchases and downloads are also governed by the terms of the store you use. If you downloaded Caporalia from the App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its support; for that, please contact us.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. For any dispute, the parties submit to the competent courts of Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico, without prejudice to your right to go to the Mexican Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO) or to the courts where you live when the law allows it.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The new version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If a change is significant, we will also let you know in the app or in the release notes. If you keep using Caporalia after a change, you accept the updated terms.

These terms were written in Spanish and translated into English. If there is any difference between the two, the Spanish version prevails.
